Tribeca. The name of this Manhattan neighborhood evokes images of chic restaurants, elegant loft apartments, trendy clubs and shops - but it wasn't
always this way. Come stroll around Tribeca and remember the way it was when the great trans-Atlantic liners steamed into the piers along West Street, when the first American Express wagon rolled past little Duane Park, when George Washington and his generals dined at the Lispenard mansion and when Old New York's most famous murder mystery began with a moonlight sleigh ride on Greenwich Street. Rich in history, great stories and splendid 19th century architecture, Tribeca is full of surprises and delights. We'll also provide a list of great places for brunch after our walk.
