BATTLE OF Brooklyn

In August of 1776 the largest pitched battle of the American Revolution was fought in present-day Prospect Park and Green-Wood Cemetery. On the anniversary of the battle this four-hour tour, by bus and on foot, will cover much of the battle ground. From the amphibious invasion at Gravesend Bay to the retreat across the East River we'll trace the action of that historic day at the actual locations. There is limited space, so reserve a place at the Old Stone House, (718)768-3195.
